The ambience though simple was elegant and quite packed. So this was TRINCAS. A live band was performing popular Bengali and Hindi numbers when we walked in. On further enquiry we found out that another band would replace them at 9 pm and they would be performing in English.
Wasn’t too long before we reached that time. Several plates of Fish Fingers, kebabs and a couple of Vodka’s later the tempo of the joint was picking up. Renditions of popular songs like Hotel California, It’s my Life, Another Brick in the Wall, We will Rock you and even venturing out to perform Bheegi Bheegi from Gangster set the night on fire. The place was all that it promised to be. Now I know why TRINCAS was the place even my Dad’s generation used to frequent. Back then it had great performers like Louis Banks, Pam Crain and even Usha Uthup I believe used to sing here.
