Weekend at Shankarpur: Day 2

Hotel Nest, Shankarpur - Our Home for the trip. The nice lake (if I can call it that) in front of the Hotel Nest, Shankarpur. The Lovely Garden beside the lake in front of the Hotel Nest, Shankarpur. Lunch - Rice, Dal & Aloo Posto. Fish Curry Jumbo Prawns - Yum! Yum! Is this a scene out of Baywatch or what? Enjoying the waves at Shankarpur. Building my own little pond on the beach at Shankarpur. Weekend at Shankarpur: Day 1

Turn-off from the Bombay Highway towards Digha Highway at Kolaghat. Passing over the Railway Bridge at Kolaghat watching an Indian Railways Train passing below. Kolaghat Thermal Power Station. Smoke being belched out from the towering Chimneys. Our Maruti Swift got a flat just as crossed Contaii. A Truss and Girder Bridge going over a Canal just after the railway line crossed the road. The beautiful scenic road ahead. Stopped by the side to climb up a bund beside the road to see what lay on the other side. On top of the bund, hair being tossed in the wind, as I surveyed the wetlands with boats planted in the silty mud waiting for the high tide to take them back out to sea. Our Maruti Swift parked on the road-side beside the bund with the tree behind it. Made for a pretty picture. Lunch - Rice, Fish Curry, Dal, Aloo Bhaja. Fish Currty - Pabda. Fish Curry.
