Action Movie of the Decade

The Expendables, yeah that’s what you’d think of these old washed up Hollywood Action heroes. Well think again. I think this was the most entertaining action movie I’ve seen in years; the key word being, “ACTION”.

In today’s world of 3D and movies with a meaning and movies made with technological brilliance et al, this movie stands out for what it is, good old school type action. The story is inconsequential; the actors don’t need to be academy award winners or even nominees for that matter; a damsel in distress for no apparent reason is an absolute necessity, even if she doesn’t fit into the script from any angle; good guys with muscles bigger than their brains and bad guys with muscles popping out from their brains too; insane weapons that make deafening noises when used; things getting blown out of oblivion even if they don’t need to be; bad guys dropping like flies every time the good guys fire, even if they’re shooting in the opposite direction, and bad guys with such pathetic aim that even if they had the gun at the good guys temple and fired they’d miss; all this and much, much more and you have a box office hit.

With a cast featuring the big boys of action, I say even if all these guys got together and paid Sylvester Stallone to make a movie and give each of them a role in it, it was really, truly worth every cent.

Go watch this movie for the pure entertainment quotient. Ummm…carry some ear plug if you don’t want to come out deaf and even if you do come out deaf after watching this movie, it’ll be worth it.

Do I need to tell you about the cast or have you heard enough about this movie anyway. Ok one of the high points is when Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis share the screen in one scene, you’ll just die laughing.

Ok enough said, go watch and be entertained like never before.
