Traffic Lights - Provide Employment

Day 4, Sep 4th, 06: Kolkata: Monday Morning, Ok. those who know are going to start laughing. Imagine this. Up by 6.00 am. Out of the house by 8.30 am. Outside my office at 9.15 am. Allo? Allo? Shutters down. The guard has a kind of smirk on his face and I'm sure you'll do too. Office opens at like 9.30 am or so they say. Ha ha ha. Anyway decided to click some pics of the surroundings while the office opened up.

Joining formalities done. Hey the H.O. is just walking distance from here. Got some crazy pics of manned traffic lights. Ok for those who don't understand. All the traffic lights have a booth next to them, where a cop sits and changes the signals.
Chinese lunch was great. Mixed Fried Rice, Chicken-Prawn Noodles and Schezwan Chicken with two Fresh Lime sodas. All this for just Rs. 223.
Walked past Governer's Residence and also got to see a "Black Maria". Unique to Kolkata again. I guess the only police department that uses this vehicle.
I guess after a hard days work, Park Street is the place to head to. We guys headed into Peter Cat on Middleton Row, just off Park Street. Kolkata Hospitality and food are just way out. We were whisked away to a table after a Turbaned Doorman showed us in. Amazing how concsious Kolkata eateries are about their Patrons. A tent card on the table urged us to switched off our mobile phones, else we be a nuisance to other patrons.
