Delightful Eatery

Last evening after a long day of house hunting and going back and forth between various ends of Kolkata I went out for dinner with a couple of my friends. They had been raving about it for several weeks now and had this serious urge to take me there. Me being the food aficionado that I am, I was more than happy and hungry. Comics, is tucked into a tiny gulley off Southern Avenue near Meneka Cinema.

A cute and cosy eatery that will appeal to the imagination of young and old, Comics as the name suggests is theme based on characters like Bugs Bunny, Archie's, Superman, et al. The walls have Dilbert and Batman and there are also showcases with various dolls of characters from Comic Books.

The tables are made of slate and each table has a box of chalk and a duster, so you can knock yourself out doodling on the tables.

The menu has all the dishes named after your favourite comic book heroes and the food is excellent, both in quality and quantity. The price maybe a little over a normal joint, but then that’s a small price to pay for a fun hospitable place. So I think this place will do well in the long run, if they keep up the level of quality and service. A meal for two should cost between Rs. 500-600.

Did I forget the Shiny Disco Balls? Well yeah they add the glitter to this fine restaurant.
