Dum-Dum - New Garia Metro: The First Pile is driven in

Over the past couple of weeks, I have noticed how the trees have been chopped down in the central verge of the E. M. Bypass near my place. Then came the heavy machinery, Bulldozers, Excavators, Cranes and Pile Drivers. With them the workers with their yellow helmets.

Several days ago I had posted (Metro work on Garia-Dum Dum line starts) and below are pics of the progress. The first pile being driven in.

Work on this is going on around the clock. Am looking forward to using this in a year or two.
