Went to Fame South City last evening and watched GOING THE DISTANCE, a movies starring Drew Barrymore (Erin) and Justin Long (Garret). The movie is about two people meeting falling in love and then faced with the dilemma of being in a relationship living on opposite sides of the country. Barrymore and Long do a fine job playing characters juxtaposed with their careers and their relationship.
Other notable performances are Christina Applegate (Corinne) who plays Drew’s disapproving sister, Charlie Day (Dan) Justin’s mad roommate and Jason Sudeikis (Box), Justin’s other best friend. The comedy that ensues in the pursuit of love is quite hilarious. The constant utterances of Profanities (which actually add to the flavour of this film) notwithstanding, this movie is not your typical Rom-Com, but one with a more hands on realistic approach to the life and times we live in.
