I'm never one to shy away from an invite, especially if it involves food! So that's exactly how I ended up at Fung Shway, the restaurant chosen for this family get-together.
The invite came from one of my in-laws' friends, and we were happily included. You know how things get when families get together, and this was a gathering of two families. Before long, the table was overflowing with food, the conversations were flowing in every direction, and everyone seemed to have something to say.
There was so much food and so much conversation that it's honestly difficult to put the evening into words.
But then again, some evenings aren't really about documenting every dish or every conversation. They're about sitting around a table, eating far more than you planned to, laughing, catching up and simply enjoying the company.
And this was definitely one of those evenings.
Good food, great company and plenty of conversation — what more could one ask for?
