Some restaurants are just too good to keep to yourself. After our rather fantastic experience at Rubi’s Grill, we decided it was time to share the love with the rest of the family. So, one evening, we rounded up the in-laws and headed out for dinner.
Of course, we knew exactly where to begin. The Potato Jackets wrapped in bacon had to make an appearance. Crispy bacon, jacket potatoes and all that deliciousness — these are not the sort of things one forgets easily. We also ordered some Chicken Wings to keep the starters company, because apparently, one cannot have too many good things on the table.
For the main course, I decided to go all out and ordered the Meatlover’s Burger. Calling it a burger is technically correct, but honestly, this thing is practically a meal for two in itself. It arrived looking like it had something to prove, and I wasn't about to argue.
The Pork Chop was another highlight of the evening. Juicy, flavourful and thoroughly satisfying, it was exactly the kind of dish that makes you glad you came prepared with an appetite. And then there was the Lobster, which was simply fantastic. Between the two, we had enough to keep the meat and seafood lovers at the table very happy.
Speaking of seafood lovers, my father-in-law is quite the enthusiast. He loves his seafood and, being someone who enjoys cooking, knows his way around a good dish. So, naturally, his verdict mattered.
Thankfully, Rubi’s Grill passed the test with flying colours. He gave the food his stamp of approval, which, in our family, is practically an award.
And just like that, another successful family dinner was wrapped up — with full stomachs, happy faces and yet another reason to return to Rubi’s Grill.
Some recommendations are best made with words. Others are best made by taking the family along and letting the food do the talking.
