I Can’t Think Straight is a movie about two women who break barriers and come out of the closet and proclaim to the world that they are gay and in love with each other.
The manifestation of their sexual preference is depicted in their physical attraction towards each other and does make for some pretty titillating lip-locking scenes, but then that’s the only way that most people understand the layers of love and the expression of the same between two people. If you look beyond that, the movie tries to champion the cause of gay people and that they are as normal as people. In comparison, they also show failed marriages between perfectly normal people.
It’s about finding joy and happiness and people in your life that deliver these beautiful feelings.
Lisa Ray as Tala, the daughter of a Rich Arab and Sheetal Sheth as Leyla, the daughter of a Rich Indian Businessman find love in the beautiful surroundings of Oxford and each in her own way struggles with the stigma of being gay and coming out to their families eventually that they will only be happy with each other.
On a personal note, Lisa Ray looks as beautiful as ever and I'm wondering why she would lock lips with another woman.
Yeah, its a movie ofcourse and you need to watch it with an open mind.
