The Owl Goes To A Better Place
Last night when I got home and was just done with jamming (a full Beatles session for about half an Hour) and getting ready to go out partying, I got a frantic SMS from my cousin. I called back only to find out that my cousins had managed to catch the OWL which had been camping in the garage since Sunday. It had got absolutely weakened by the injury to its wing and lack of food. So we hurriedly took it to an Animal Care Centre "Moitri Veterinary Clinic" which is run by two brothers who really care for animals. They tried administering Intravenous, but the bird had weakened so much that finding the veins and getting the microscopic intraveneous tube in was a daunting task. After a good forty five minutes and all attention diverted to the dying bird, all failed and the OWL went limp. Though my cousin wanted reassurance and the stethescope was used, we all knew we had lost the magnificent bird. Yes we were glad that tried to save it too. But then that's life, you save some and some move on to a better place.

When Will This end In Kolkata
Imagine, you've been called by the top honcho a.k.a. the big boss, a.k.a. the MD of the company and you tell him you're on your way to meet him and will be in his office in max half an hour. First of all the very possibility of being called personally to meet him is as remote as the Haley's comet being seen once in a life time. So when you get caught half way there in something like this....
....I just got out of the cab and walked briskly in this hot sultry Tuesday afternoon to my meeting. Just the day I decided not to be entirely attired for such an eventuality, but ready for a boardroom meeting.
Nandigram returns to plague the streets of KOLKATA.

Animal Weekend
I didn't get the cat pics or some of the other animals I've seen this weekend, but here are some of the lovely creatures that I did manage to capture on my phone camera. Yeah just incase you are wondering. Yes that's a huge moth that looked like a piece of bark that was stuck to my bike rear wheel early this morning. Oh and that beautiful OWL that seemed to have injured itself was walking all over our driveway as is evident.
The other two are Shadow, the Chihuahua and Max, the Doberman who belong to my uncle.

Photo Story
The First Professional Photograph of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan |
Yes you got it right, this is the first ever picture of Big B (Amitabh Bachchan). I had gone with a colleague of mine who needed to get his passport pic taken. So we went to Bombay Photo Stores on the corner of Park Street and Camac Street. On the wall of the studio is hung this picture with an amazing story. I'll let you'll go and find out what the story behind this pic is, but am putting it up for you to identify the pic when you'll visit that shop.
